Indigenous Education Advisor
JP PrettyBull is a member of the Ponca Tribe of Nebraska and an advocate dedicated to integrating Indigenous knowledge and equitable practices into education. As an Indigenous Education Advisor, their work focuses on reforming systems to honor cultural heritage, promote inclusion, and empower community voice. Through their consultancy, they lead vital equity trainings for corporations and schools, develop inclusive curricula, and educate on federal Indian policy – including the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA).
JP brings a powerful combination of lived experience, professional rigor, and a deep understanding of systemic reform to TEAL through their background in clinical social work, cultural resource management, and systemic analysis. They support the movement to build a truly democratic and teacher-led education system that celebrates diverse expertise and creates space for all voices to be heard.
