Gender Equity Advisor

Olivia Westemeier is a community and clinical psychology researcher and program evaluator with expertise in sexual violence prevention, gender equity, and data‑driven decision making. She has served as a graduate teaching and research assistant at Georgia State University, a Research Consultant with Interwoven Insights, and a facilitator of anti‑violence workshops at the University of Iowa’s Women’s Resource & Action Center. Her work consistently centers trauma‑informed, equity‑focused practices in both research and community settings.

As TEAL’s Gender Equity Advisor, Olivia ensures that the organization’s programs, culture, and partnerships are grounded in the principles of gender justice. She advises on research and policy, recommends improvements to dismantle systemic barriers, and facilitates strategic partnerships with organizations dedicated to advancing gender equity in education. Her participatory, equity‑centered approach helps TEAL build lasting change by elevating the voices of those closest to the classroom.
