Kaleigh Landers is a high school ESOL teacher in Valparaiso, Indiana, who also holds experience in curriculum development. Her dedication to bridging the gap between education research in practice and restoring trust in the teaching profession aligns with TEAL’s commitment to teacher involvement in education reform efforts.
As a member of TEAL’s Teacher Advisory Council, Kaleigh helps ensure that our organizations trajectory and actions truly reflect a teacher-centered, teacher-led mission which involves current, active classroom educators in education development decisions.
“As a fourth-generation female educator, teaching has always been my passion. I knew from a young age that this was the profession I was meant to be in, and I was fortunate enough growing up not just to have strong role models within my family, but some truly amazing teachers as well. I now aim everyday to provide the same level of inspiration to my students that was given to me, to give them a safe place to learn, grow, and to prepare them to enter the world with all the tools possible to succeed.”
