Refugee & Migrant Education Advisor

Jennifer Sklar brings over 15 years of leadership experience in global education, specializing in education in emergencies and crisis-affected contexts. As a leader with the International Rescue Committee and a long-standing Steering Committee member of the Inter-agency Network for Education in Emergencies (INEE), her work has focused on increasing equitable access to education for refugee, migrant, and crisis-affected children and youth in some of the world's most challenging environments. She also serves on the Steering Committee of the USAID Education in Crisis and Conflict Network, contributing to a global community of practice dedicated to knowledge sharing and systemic support.

As TEAL's Refugee and Migrant Education Advisor, Jennifer brings this expertise to ensure the organization's advocacy and resources address the unique needs of educators serving displaced and mobile populations. Her firsthand experience in advocating for refugee education access and her commitment to building collaborative global networks directly align with TEAL's mission to empower all educators as decision-makers, especially those serving our most vulnerable student communities.
