Teacher Advisory Council Member

Bethel Murphy is an elementary school teacher with Houston ISD, a certified educator with experience across ESL, Special Education, and IB programming. Her dedication to student-centered teaching, social-emotional learning, and ensuring that pedagogical practices are informed by current research and classroom expertise aligns with TEAL's commitment to elevating teacher voice in education policy decisions.

As a member of TEAL's Teacher Advisory Council, Bethel helps ensure that our organization's trajectory and actions truly reflect a teacher-centered, teacher-led mission which involves current, active classroom educators in education development decisions.
